Greetings to Friends of the American Indian Center in Chicago ~
Walk for Hunger, Saturday, June 14, Montrose Harbor, Chicago.
The American Indian Center is proud to help feed the hungry and make nutritious food accessible to all. Our partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository allows us to obtain food for low cost, and pass it on to those in need through our Food Pantry and Meals Programs (Senior Lunch, After School Dinner, Community Feasts).
The annual Greater Chicago Food Depository Hunger Walk is just a few short weeks away. The AIC Food Pantry and Food/Meals programs rely on the food we receive from the GCFD to feed people in need. Our participation in the walk, and the amount of money we raise, keeps our food programs strong.
I would like to ask your support either as a walker; as a supporter of a team walker; or through a donation in the American Indian Center's name.
The AIC has a goal of: 50 Walkers + $5,000 !!!
Please go to the link: http://www.chicagosfoodbank.org/site/PageServer?pagename=homepage.
You can
a) join the American Indian Center Trackers for the walk on June 14, OR
b) join the team as a virtual walker (you'll be with us in spirit, but not on foot!), OR
c) get people to support you as a team member, and commit to raising $100+, OR
d) pledge support to one of the Walkers listed on the Team, OR
e) make a donation in the American Indian Center's name, which will help us receive more funds from the Greater Chicago Food Depository for our Food Pantry and Meals Programs. The AIC agency number with GCFD is #00020.
Once you register to be a team member, you will be able to see how the AIC Trackers team is doing with pledge supports and donations.
Please email this WITH YOUR NAME at the bottom to all your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintences and yes even your enemies! When it comes to fighting hunger, we are all on the same side working together!

The June 14 Hunger Walk is a great family event, with free gifts, entertainment, and comraderie. Bring the kids, mom & pop, & friends to Montrose Harbor for the 9:30 step off!
The American Indian Center Trackers team will meet near the starting line by 9:00am. Come early to register. Wear a red arm band with AIC Trackers written on it so we can find each other and walk together!
